BEAR LAKE WEEKEND WITH FRIENDS

We went to Bear Lake over the weekend and we had so much fun. The only thing I regret is that the Babcock's and the Schroephers couldn't come. But hopefully they will next time. As you will notice with the pictures we had some fun and crazy times. Thanks to all our friends for coming and for helping with everything. From cooking to cleaning. It makes it easier for me. We are so blessed to have so many good friends in our neighborhood who put up with us. Hopefully we can do it again next year!

Flashback Friday (on Thursday)

Because I am going to be out of town on Friday, I am adding this flashback on Thursday. After you're done wiping away the tears from laughing, this is a picture of me and Troy at the Alta High Jr. Prom in April 1982. Troy had already graduated the year before but he wanted to take me anyway. It was so nice. I can't remember where we went to dinner but I'm sure it was nice. The dance was at "Symphony Hall", which is now "Abravenell Hall". It was a great dance. Those were the days when I was somewhat thinner and had two good legs. I'm counting on my 18 year old body in the next life. (please please please). Now, go back to laughing.

Okay, because it is my first Flashback Friday, I am going to post a few pictures. This picture is of our little family back in August 1993. Cameron was there but hiding in my womb.

I FINISHED "BREAKING DAWN"!

Let me just tell you.....IT WAS AWESOME! Those of you who are interested in these books will love it. It took me longer to get the dang book than it took for me to read it. But it was worth it. Now I am going to start reading "Twilight" again since it has been about a year since I read it the first time. (That is if I can get it back from Whitney!) hint, hint! Now I am biding my time for the movie to come out in December. Yay!

THIS BLOG IS FOR DEAR SWEET SARAH

At church today Sarah L. asked if I would write a blog just about her. She is hilarious! She makes me smile whenever I see her. She is Cameron's age and I wish I had her energy and zest for life. I don't know what I would do without her hugs every time I see her. I need to embarrass her though. She is SO blonde that she often does blonde things. One time she was at our house and we made Grilled Cheese Sandwiches. She noticed that Cameron wasn't eating his crust. She was so disappointed in him so she said, "Cameron, you need to eat the crust because that is where all the VEGETABLES are." It took her a while to realize what she said and we had a good laugh. I still like to tease her about that. She takes it well. So Sarah I hope you are happy with your post dedicated only to you. Be Happy and know that we love you!

THEY'RE HERE!!!!!

Yes, it is true. The books were delivered about 10 minutes ago. However, because I have such wonderful friends, my dear friend Lisa let me take her book because she hasn't had time to start it yet and I am giving her one of my, better late than never, books. So I started the book last night. Yay! Michael, my dear sweet son told me last night that he read my blog and wanted me to know that he "BROKE DAWN"! Whatever that means. I think he is sick of all the Hype about the book. How funny. I can't wait until he is married and his wife is just as typical as the rest of us. It will be great! Happy Reading everyone!

TOO GOOD TO BE TRUE

Well, I swear when I tracked the package it said it was out for delivery. Well, IT STILL HASN'T COME! So I went back to Amazon.com to track it again and it is NO LONGER out for delivery. What is going on? If it wasn't so frustrating it would be funny. I'm sure this is pretty funny for a lot of you. I was also at Wal-mart (neighborhood market) buying groceries yesterday and there were about 20 book sitting on the counter. I thought about buying one and then returning one of ones being delivered, but then I thought, no, it is being delivered tomorrow. SOMEONE OUT THERE IS PLAYING A VERY CRUEL JOKE ON ME!!! Good thing I have been reading another book until Breaking Dawn comes. My sweet Mallory keeps calling me EVERYDAY to see if the books have come yet. She thinks it's a little funny. She would! She hasn't finished "The Host" yet. So, there you have it. That is my story today. If it doesn't come tomorrow I am headed back to Wal-Mart!

IT'S OUT FOR DELIVERY!!!!

I have been tracking my books every day and sometimes twice or three times a day just to see how stupid the shipping has been for my books. I am going to copy and paste so you can see where my books have been. They've been to Wilmington, Ohio TWICE! That is what is says. And remember, it was shipped on August 1st. It's Crazy!

ANNOYED!!

Okay, I tracked my two books today just to see where they are. Well......They shipped from Fresno, CA on the 1st. They were still in Fresno on 2nd and 3rd. Today, miraculously they are now in Wellington, OH! WHAT THE HECK!!! Since when was Ohio on the way to Utah? I don't get it! And a big thank you to Brooke Moon for her courtesy call yesterday talking to me about THE BOOK! And how when she bought her book at Wal-mart, there were BASKETS full of them. No, I am not upset. I am just ANNOYED!!! Everyone have a nice day and enjoy reading Breaking Dawn. I'll just do laundry or something today. Love You!

SEE YA SATURDAY CAMBO! WAHOO!

Don't get me wrong. I am going to miss him. It is just good for both of us to have this time of separation. It's good for our relationship. ha ha. He'll have a great time at EFY. Sherry Jensen drove the boys down and helped them get settled into their dorm. Sherry was putting sheets on Jonathan's bed because she knew that Jonathan wouldn't do a great job. So Cameron started putting the sheets on his bed and Sherry said that his sheets were just thrown on so she asked Cameron if he wanted her to put the sheets on for him and he said "sure, if you don't mind". Sherry is so awesome. I really appreciate her making sure they were set. I know they will stay busy the whole week and they will love it!

Re: The Host and other stuff...

Thanks ladies for your sympathy and should have's. Next time I will know better. Just tell me what is the best thing to do for when the movie comes out? Pre pay for the tickets early? What's the earliest you can buy your tickets? We all need to do this together so we can all go together and make it our girls date night. I know Troy has NO interest in seeing the movie. Anyway, regarding "The Host" I loved it! It was totally different than what I expecting but it was great. I did cry a little bit but not much. It was just a great story of about selfless love. Putting other's happiness above your own. This book would make a great movie too. Do you think there will be a sequel to this book? I think there should be. There is so much she can do with it. So, if you haven't read it yet it is a must. I give it 2 thumbs up, 4 stars or whatever else the critics use for a great book. I didn't even think the middle was too terrible. It still held my interest. So those of you with your books "Breaking Dawn", enjoy them and think of poor Lynnie, Laura and myself waiting patiently for the USPS, or UPS, (whatever) to deliver ours. Lisa, I can't believe that it is just sitting on your night stand. That is just sick and wrong! (I know you work so I won't be too hard on you). Love you all!

Breaking Dawn

Okay, I can't believe it! I was SO looking forward to getting my book that I pre-ordered back in May. Well, I thought that it would be shipped so I received it TODAY! Well, that is not the case. It shipped on Friday and I am suppose to get it by the 6th! I am so bummed! I hurried to finish "The Host" so that I could start on "Breaking Dawn". I am being taught patience I guess. Dang It! Next time I will pre-pay for it at Deseret Book because they will hold it for me there. So there you have it. I have to wait while half of America will have it finished before I even get to start it. Poor me and all the others who pre-ordered it. :(
