Guess What?!

Last night Troy and I went to dinner with the Rigby's to Asian Star (very good by the way). While there, I had a little too much Diet Coke and had to use the restroom. So I walked over towards the rest room but they had that area blocked off. I didn't care because when I gotta go, I gotta go! So I walked through. Apparently they had a private party going on. So after I took care of business I started walking back and there sitting at the big table was.......DAVID ARCHULETA!!!! (from American Idol). He was so cute. He even moved a chair for me so I wouldn't trip over it. I smiled and said thanks and I think my eyes might have bugged out (not sure). But I kept walking like no big deal and couldn't wait to tell Troy and the Rigby's. As we were leaving, Gary (the owner) told us that they had to sneak him up the back way and no one was suppose to know he was there. (apparently everywhere he goes, he gets mobbed...imagine that) Oh well. Next time maybe they shouldn't put him near the restroom. I thought it was kind of cool though. He is adorable with such a sweet smile.

Michael's Birthday

Michael just turned 22 and wow, doesn't his Mom look great? I know people must think that I was 12 when I had him.... ha ha. Michael wanted to go to Texas Roadhouse for dinner but he told me that there was no way he was going to get on the saddle for his b-day. I just said okay, we'll see what happens and he was very adamant about not getting on the saddle. Welllllll........ Happy Birthday Michael! YEEHAW!!!

After dinner we went back home and he opened his presents and we had cake and ice cream. Overall I think he had a nice birthday. It was his first birthday home since before his mission. He made sure to let us know that so he could get lots of presents. Hmmm. Yes he is SPOILED ROTTEN!

Sam and Ashley came to wish Michael Happy Birthday!
They gave him the DVD "Newsies". Michael loves that movie.
Thanks Girls! You are sweet and thoughtful. He was disappointed
that the "money" was fake though. lol

Grandpa and Granny Hanson went to dinner with us
and then came for cake and ice cream but left
before we had the cake and ice cream. Sorry about that!

Michael had 22 candles to blow out and he didn't quite make it. However, he swears that he didn't take another breath and did blow them all out. You be the judge... did he take another breath? HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU MICHAEL!

DINNER WITH THE FAMILY

The night before Mother's Day we all went to dinner at Goodwood. (It is very good by the way). So here are a few pictures of us while we were there. (What is it with my family and a camera, they can't just smile normally...)

BEARLAKE SUNSET

Bear Lake always has the most beautiful sunsets. This is over Memorial weekend. It was cold up there but still nice. It didn't rain until Sunday night and Monday morning. Good thing we were headed home early Monday.

Muppet Personality Test

My friend Laura Smith has this on her blog and I had to copy it because it is cute and kind of fun to see what muppet matches my personality. Crazy! I'M FOZZIE BEAR!!

You Are Fozzie Bear

"Wocka! Wocka!"

You're the life of the party, and you love making people crack up.

If only your routine didn't always bomb!

You may find more groans than laughs, but always keep the jokes coming.

Twilight Movie Trailer

Thanks to Laura Smith for helping me figure out how to put this video on my blog. It was actually pretty easy once I figured it out. Okay... I am sooo excited for this movie to come out. I love, love, love the book and I'm sure the movie will be awesome.

Bike Around the Lake.... Again!

Okay, this was the 2nd annual bike ride around Bear Lake. It is about 50 miles all the way around. Those riding this year were, Troy, Mallory, Heidi Raso, Lori Vest, Dana Gruer, Victoria Knight, Jessica Horner, Rachel Horner, Chris Kukuchka, Scott and Laura Smith, and Matt Babcock. I am so proud of them for doing this. It was hot and the Sun was blazing and a lot of them got some sunburns. Jessica actually got Sun Poisoning. She has been throwing up and has had the chills and fever. I know how that feels because I have been through that before. It is awful! It's like the flu but worse because you have a bad sunburn to go with it. Anyway, the group started at the Church before La Beau's and then they rode north all the around to our cabin. They ate a quick lunch and then left to finish the last 15 or 17 miles. The worst part was when they passed Rendezvous Beach there was a big head wind that made the last 7 miles awful. They did it and then those left at the cabin (Me, Lora Lee Babcock, Beck Smith (the most adorable 3 year old EVER!), Michael and his friends Sam and Ashley) met them at Le Beau's for ice cream (Burnt Almond Fudge Shake). They were so exhausted after the ride and I hope they all slept well. I know that Troy did. He said he slept like a rock. (How exactly do rocks sleep?) This ride was part of training for the big MS Bike Ride in June up in Logan. However, the Bear Lake ride was harder than the MS bike ride will be. It will be only 40 miles and they have stops every 10 miles with drinks and other things (not sure what). It's for a good cause and I am so proud of each of them for dedicating their time for this. Lora Lee Babcock was going to ride but she found out recently that she is expecting so she has a GREAT excuse not to ride.... Victoria's sister Natasha rode the sag wagon. Much thanks to her! Laura Smith had these pictures taken so I stole them from her website. Thanks Laura!

Anniversary of Jennifer's Death

I can't believe that it has been a year since Jennifer died. It has gone by fast. I went to the cemetery today to see if her headstone had been laid and thankfully it was! It is very nice. It is also very big. I was surprised at how big it turned out. It was so big that they had to put it below the one to the left of her. (Not directly below but to the side). I am very pleased with how it turned out. Anyway, I just thought I would let you all know.

This is the distance between Jennifer's and Mom's grave markers. Notice how Jennifer's is a little lower. It is a little weird.

A New Us!

Lorna and I signed up at a health center and we are determined to get our exercise and try to lose weight and let our skinny people out of the "dungeon" of our existing bodies. We worked out today for over an hour and it really felt good. I am a little sore tonight but not bad. It is our goal to try and go 3 times a week. We are going to continue to drink our water and hopefully in a few months we will notice a significant difference. I know it will help me to walk better and to feel better. I know that I will probably fall less and that alone is worth it. I just need positive results to keep me going. So I hope that I will get a lot of support from my family and friends to keep me motivated. I will need it. I just don't want to fail. I can't Fail! I WON'T fail!
