The Fishing Trip

Where do I begin with this adventure? The day we left the resort we drove to Melrose, Montana where Troy made reservations for us to stay at the Sportsmans Motel & Cabins. (I was a little leery because of the words Sportsmans and Motel in the same sentence). I think the town of Melrose probably has a population of 100. There wasn't a store withing 30 miles of this place. We were right off the highway however. The cabin really wasn't too bad. It was clean and comfortable. However, when you think of sleeping in a cabin, I imagine the sounds at night to be crickets and other outdoor "Mountenous" sounds, but Nooo we had the soothing sounds of cows mooing and dogs barking and I swear I heard an elk bugeling. Also, I didn't dare drink the water because it came out brown. The toilet water was brown, the sink water was brown and there was NO WAY I was going to use the shower with brown water. (It didn't stop Michael and Troy) Friday the boys went fishing and I stayed in the "motel Cabin" all day and read my book and played on the computer. There really wasn't much else to do. When they got back about 7:30 p.m. went over to the "Hitching Post" for dinner. It was actually pretty good. The next morning we packed up and headed for home. I NEEDED A SHOWER!!!! Enjoy these pictures from the Sportsmans Motel.

Coeur D'Alene, Idaho

Last week Troy, Michael and myself took a trip to Coeur D'Alene, Idaho. Troy had a conference and since Michael didn't get to go to Hawaii last year we decided to take him with us. I think he had fun. Anyway, it is absolutely beautiful up there. I'd go there again in a minute. The resort was amazing and our room was sooo nice. We even had a fireplace in our room. The weather was a little cooler than we would have liked but it was still nice. Troy and Michael played golf in the rain/snow and then sun. The golf course is really nice as well. It has a floating green. Michael parred the floating green and got a certificate for doing it. I guess only about 25% of the people who play golf there even get the ball on the green. So, he was pretty proud of himself. I also pampered myself while there. I had a "Relax and Renew" bath, massage, facial at the Resort Spa. It was wonderful. So, here are some pictures of our trip there.

Poor Michael had to sleep on this couch but he
said it wasn't too bad...

We had a dinner cruise around the
lake the night before we left. Michael
didn't go because the Jazz Game
was on at the same time.

Tucson - (More Pictures)

While we were in Tucson, David, Kelli, Rachel and Steve and Jensen Alston drove down and we went to dinner at PF Chang. It was an amazing meal but the company was even better. We had a nice visit with them. Susan and Jordan Alston weren't able to make because they went to the General YW Conference. (They are so good). But we did miss them. Rebecca wasn't there because she was flying home from Chicago where her High School Choir had been. Anyway, enjoy the pictures.

Tucson, AZ

Last week Troy, Mallory and I had the opportunity to go to Tucson, AZ. Troy had a conference that he had to attend and so it was a time for me to relax and enjoy being away. Troy and I flew down on Wednesday, March 26th and Mallory flew down on the 27th. I talked Troy into getting a Garmin GPS with our rental car because I didn't want us to get lost. It was a great idea because we used it alot! However, she (the lady in the box- GPS) had to do a lot of "re-calculating" because we often missed the road we were supposed to turn on. It was pretty funny. This was so much better than getting a map and having me navigate. So, Mallory was able to enjoy a wonderful massage, European Body Scrub and facial. While she was the getting the massage, I got my nails done. It was fun. Michael and Cameron stayed home and luckily they are still alive. They each survived the other. But from what they tell me, it was a miracle. Here are a few pictures from our trip. I have more but I need to get them off Mallory's camera. I'll post them as soon as I can. :)

Below we are being a little silly. Mallory can make some strange faces.

If you don't know, today is Jennifer's birthday. (April 4th) I wrote a little note about Jennifer's birthday on her site. If you would like to write something as well, just click on her name at my fav blogs and write a little tribute to her. I don't want her forgotten. She will always be loved and missed in my heart. She will always be an inspiration to me.
